Carl Bates
Carl and his family joined Good Samaritan when they relocated to southwest Las Vegas. During the very first service they attended, "we were warmly welcomed and glad to see some members of our previous church home, New Hope Lutheran. GSLC is a great church for families and individuals of all ages".

Lifelong Goal - To be able to look back on life and know that I did the best that I could with all things spiritual, family and friends.

Best of the rest - Carl and his wife, Gail, have two children, Lauren and Aaron, a defective English bulldog and mutant pug. Carl said their lives are like most families these days, so they look forward to the simple pleasures in life and try not to get caught up in rest. His favorite junk food ? Debra Peterson
After leaving her church home in Chandler, Arizona in 1988, it took several years of searching to find Debra's new church family. The minute she walked in the door at Good Samaritan, she knew she had "come home". With a long history of teaching Sunday School and two young sons, volunteering as a teacher was a natural place to start to get involved. As her faith grew (along with her sons) Debra's involvement and friendships also grew.

Lifelong Goal - to enjoy every day that the Lord has given and not worry about what tomorrow may bring.

Best of the Rest - Debra has two sons which are God's biggest blessing, loves all animals but especially horses and dogs, wishes she could ride horse in the woods every day and eat ice cream every evening and, has seen "The 10 Things I Hate About You" at least ten times.
